From nature's perspective, there's no "correct" temperature, but from the perspective of human civilization and most current plants and animals, significant warming creates a severe threat. We know that animal and plant extinction rates are rising (from global warming, deforestation, hunting, etc.), and that floods and droughts have already lethally affected humans in Asia and Africa, as well as damaging agriculture. Since we've been the ones raising the temperature, we can halt that process.

Who are we to say what the correct temp should be? The Earth's temperature has never been constant. Get over yourself, were not in control. By the way, we are headed into a cooling phase. Wake up, the whole movement is about political control. Another "crisis"

Calsurf - It's an overgeneralization to blame Americans for ignoring the threats of anthropogenic warming. A substantial quantity of the evidence documenting CO2-driven warming comes from American science, and despite a late start, the American political arena is following the science and is endorsing a commitment to curb CO2 emissions to avert the worst global warming consequences. The Congress and both presidential candidates strongly support CO2 reduction as part of the international effort.

Don't be a fucking idiot. The majority of scientists do not believe in global warming, because it's a fucking farce. Do some fucking research. The planet gets cold, then it gets hot, then it gets cold again. Welcome to reality. The rest of earth thinks your morons for propagating this bullshit. |
