Just found you. Thanks! What a wonderful supplement to to great training I'm getting. But as a newbie I can't tell you how hard making my seat still is. I just seem to get stiff and bounce along. Downward is much harder than upward> Thanks for the very helpful videos!!!!!

Hi Jane,
I ride a horse that doesn't really respond to my leg aids. What should I do?
I also love the way you teaching style. Some people use force and I hate that.

Sorry I can't be more specific, but it's hard to say without seeing him in action (the mechanics of his hind legs etc) and knowing his character and personality.
I have actually trained several horses that are higher behind, and they've done wonderful flying changes, piaffe, passage, and pirouettes. So much depends on the individual.

lilmisshorsey14,
I was just about to answer you and noticed that leilaminette did it for me. Check out the vid on the Connecting Half Halt at rbsavoie.

hey Lilmisshorsey..I have had the same questioned answered by Jane wonderful videos. Both my TB mare and my QH mare are a little unruley so I watched Jane video on the HALF HALT & I noticed a huge difference in both mares after the second day applying her techniques. Give them a try you won't be dissapointed. :)

I've started dressage on my Quarter Horse and really want to know if he could possibly ever do a piaffe or other upper level dressage movements. Some people have told me that it is based on conformation of the horse and since my QH looks more like a warmblood than a QH I thought maybe he could, but I want a professionals opinion. Please answer back.

Hi ultimatehorselover,
The best way to get her on the bit is to use connecting aids. Check out the Connecting Half Halt video at rbsavoie |
