Edited for YouTube: By request from the 1973 production: Pilate's Dream.I edited this video in full screen for effect. There is nothing wrong with the video.~Ric~ Lyrics: PILATE I dreamed I met a Galilean; A most amazing man. He had that look you very rarely find: The haunting, hunted kind. I asked him to say what had happened, How it all began. I asked again, he never said a word. As if he hadn't heard. And next, the room was full of wild and angry men. They seemed to hate this man. They fell on him, and then Disappeared again. Then I saw thousands of millions Crying for this man. And then I heard them mentioning my name, And leaving me the blame.

i thought it was, but the cheerful and dance-like instrumentation seemed different than I remembered. either way it certainly doesn't match the mood of the song. The vocal approach, however, is perfect.

This IS the original movie. But you are correct about Pilates wife having the dream according to the scriptures. ~Ric~

The accompaniment is different in this than in the original movie. it's bey wrong for this song. Much too lively. It should be much slower and gentler... Pilate is confused, wondering... the instruments should reflect that... (BTW, In the Bible, it was Pilate's Wife who had the dream)

Barry Dennen was still Pilate whenI was JCS @ the Mark Hellinger in April 1973.

Anybody think Gerald Butler would be good as Pontius Pilate? You take his look and attitude from 300 and throw his singing voice from the 2005 Phantom of the Opera remake while singing Jesus Christ Superstar songs and I think you have probably the best Pontius Pilate ever. Just picture him singing Pilate's Dream. I get goosebumps just thinking about it.
