Resources for Affiliate Marketers - BBL Internet Media

Affiliate marketing is one of the most hype-infested areas of
online activity. It is often very difficult to tell truth from fiction, honesty
from outright lies. The reason is pretty simple: affiliate marketers — people
who sell other products online for a commission — have a vested interest in
hyping these products and never saying anything negative or even mildly critical
about any of them. Affiliate marketing is extreme "let the buyer beware"
country.
So whether you are an aspiring Affiliate Marketer, or just a
potential customer interested in buying the kind of products offered by
affiliate marketers, you should do as much research as you can into how
affiliate marketing really works.
In the Linknet Marketing Resource Library we will be featuring
a number of websites that may be helpful to aspiring affiliate marketers. These
sites provide resource material, information, affiliate reviews, affiliate
opportunities and options. Mostly they tell you "how to make money selling
affiliate products" — usually by buying their products.
BBL Internet Media
One affiliate resource site I checked out is
BBL Internet Media. Like most affiliate sites, this one is trying to sell
you something at every turn. Every link takes you to a new "opportunity".
However, try not to let that deter you. There is some very useful information
here. In particular there is a step-by-step outline of how to set up an
affiliate business just like the one created by the webmaster of BBL Internet
Media. The method advocated by the webmaster, Franklin Banker, is more or less
as follows:
1. Sign up with as many affiliate networks as you can — he
provides a list and sign up directions for networks such as ClickBank,
Commission Junction, CJCom, ClixGalore.
2. Isolate certain niche product categories as the ones you
are interested in promoting.
3. Create small niche websites for each product or category.
4. Get your sites noticed by the search engines and promote,
promote, promote.
Franklin also suggests you create your own blog (or blogs). He
says:
"In order to have your new gateway pages and small sites get
noticed by some big search engines, I recommend that you get a BLOG and create
discussions on the blog about the subject matter covered by your pages. Then I
further recommend that you link your gateway pages and small sites to the blog,
either in the content of the discussions, or in the area the blog has for links,
or both! In fact, active blogs are indexed quicker by many search engines than
are new sites, and after the blog is indexed, the new pages you have linked to
the blog will also get indexed. Get it?"
Franklin has summarized his entire strategy, with
links to example sites, affiliate networks and other resources in an article
called "Make Money Online
Through Affiliate Marketing". If you are looking for online business
